MARQUEE Youth Choir

The Marquee Youth Choir brings voices together to sing an exciting mix of Broadway favourites and contemporary secular songs.
Designed for kids and teens who love to sing, perform, and grow as artists, this choir focuses on healthy vocal production, harmony, and joyful ensemble singing in a creative and encouraging environment.

About the Program
Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings from 6:30–8:00 PM at the Marquee studio, beginning January 20, 2026.
The Marquee Youth Choir will work toward a performance at Marquee’s Spring Choir Showcase, featuring both the Youth Choir and Senior Choir. Singers will have the opportunity to perform both individually within their ensembles and together in combined choir numbers.
Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you’ll get to sing your favourite show tunes (and more), learn harmonies, and be part of a supportive community that celebrates the joy of music. No auditions are required — just bring your enthusiasm and love for the stage. Experience the thrill of performing and make new friends along the way in this exciting program!
Term 1 runs from September to December with a year-end concert featuring both Broadway, Secular and Holiday favourites.
Term 2 runs from January to June culminating in a fun intergenerational choral concert with Marquee’s Adult Choir

After a 30+ year career in Human Resources and Change Management, Maureen continues to find ways to be productive and give back to her community. Whether this is being Marquee’s Treasurer for the past 3 years, helping out backstage or finally making her stage debut in 2023. Maureen is also on the Aurora Food Pantry Board of Directors, belongs to local choirs, loves to workout and spend time with her family.
