SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year we award deserving students the following awards which include scholarships toward their Marquee programs or post secondary studies.

Applications may be submitted by the student, parent/guardian or by non-family nominators. Only one award may be awarded per student. To apply, please download the application form and turn it in to Marquee by June 1.

The Marquee Founder Scholarship

The Marquee Founder Scholarship Award

Donated and established in 2024 by Sheryl Thomas – Marquee’s Founder.

This scholarship is awarded to a Marquee member for their strong dedication to their performance through preparation, positivity and openness to learning and growing.

John Abel Memorial Scholarship

The John Abel Memorial Scholarship

Established in 2019 by Marquee in memory of John Abel

This scholarship is awarded to a Marquee member for their commitment, passion and dedication to succeed in their craft and demonstrating a commitment to give back by volunteering.

Rick Koury Scholarship

Rick Koury Scholarship Award

Established in 2021 by Marquee – In memory of a dear friend who believed in and supported Marquee’s work and mission.

This scholarship is awarded to a Marquee student in support of their development through performance or technical work while in or working on a Marquee show.
